It’s that time of year… NIGHTMARE season! Even if you aren’t scared by the neighborhood ghosts and goblins this week, you might awake from a dream that feels even more tangible and terrifying!!

Were you ever wakened by a nightmare that left you breathless or in tears of fright? Do you have recurring dreams that won’t go away? Have you ever awakened from an emotional dream packed with crazy images and wondered, “What was that about?!” Well, you’re not alone!

Dreams in the form of nightmares come as a “wake-up” call.

In the same way that recurring dreams annoy us, nightmares frighten us into taking action. Nightmares are neither good nor bad but are dreams that carry important information for you. They literally wake you up to the fears that may be preventing you from moving forward in your life. They contain time-sensitive material that should be dealt with immediately if you don’t want to suffer consequences in your waking life. Remember that dreams speak in symbolic language and that a particular problem or solution presented in a dream should not necessarily be interpreted literally. More often the problem or solution will be represented metaphorically.

I had a dream after returning from a “getaway” trip to New Hampshire. The dream showed me not wanting to reconnect with my power/electrical company when I returned. I knew upon awakening that I should perhaps give myself some quiet time before reconnecting with all the activity that awaited me.

Your message has most likely been coming through your dreams for months or even years with no result. As you begin to pay close attention to your recurring dreams and nightmares, you will learn to hear the subtle message without them waking you in tears or a cold sweat!

I’ve found that once someone understands the message of their nightmare and takes action to overcome that particular life situation, the nightmare will not recur. Dreams are our friends. They come to guide and support us in our life journey–freely given every night! Pay attention and take action regularly and your nightmares will not haunt you!

DREAMS + ACTION = CHANGE
