Our dreams truly care about us. They are our Valentines for life! As we step forward into February, the winds of change are upon us. As with the preparation of all of nature for the emergence of Spring (hard to believe for those of you under a blizzard this weekend), we personally need to prepare for new growth.
During such times, the guidance of our honest inner voice becomes vital. Through dreams our inner voice can be heard and our truth can emerge (personally and collectively).
When we allow ourselves to embrace the insight and emotions of our dreams, we can hear our innate wisdom. When we listen closely, we are given personal and collective strength to follow in ways that are important for all peoples and all of nature. We come to “knowing” that is beyond our individual “knowing” − to action that is beyond our personal good.
As we celebrate love this month, what better time than now to practice self-care and the understanding of self. “Love your neighbor as yourself.” We cannot fully understand and love others until we understand our own nature, beliefs and emotions. We must accept our own shadow qualities so that we do not project them onto others. There is no better teacher than your dreams.
Dreams bring us to a calmer, gentler, kinder nature for integrating our own weaknesses and strengths. We can open up to whom we were born to be and to whom we are now; more accepting of our own nature, and then we become more accepting of others.
We have several great opportunities to help you learn to interpret the message of your dreams and find your inner, authentic, supportive voice. Give yourself a gift of exploring your dreams, remove anxiety of the future and, in turn, help make the world a more accepting place.
